West Lane Studios ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to the services we provide to our clients.

Who we are

West Lane Studios is operated by Arya Aranha, a sole proprietor based in Mumbai, India. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@westlanestudios.com.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us directly: name, email, phone number, business name, and the content of your message, when you email us or fill in a contact/booking form on our site or a client's site.
• Client and lead data we process on behalf of our clients: when we build or run automations for a client (booking, enquiries, reviews, follow-ups), we handle personal data belonging to that client's customers, strictly to deliver the service, and only as instructed by that client.
• Website analytics, if and when enabled on a given site: aggregated, privacy-friendly visit statistics (pages viewed, general location by country/region, referral source). Where cookie-based analytics is used, we ask for consent first via a cookie banner.
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe). We do not store full card numbers ourselves.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To respond to enquiries and deliver services you or your business have requested (contract / legitimate interest).
• To run the automations (booking, replies, reminders, reviews, follow-ups) a client has engaged us to operate (contract, acting as processor on the client's instructions).
• To send service-related messages such as booking confirmations and reminders (contract / legitimate interest). We do not send marketing messages without consent.
• To understand and improve how a website performs (legitimate interest, or consent where cookies are used).
• To meet legal and accounting obligations, such as invoicing records (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers ("sub-processors") to deliver our own site and client automations, for example: hosting (Vercel, Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend), automation platforms (Make, n8n), scheduling (Cal.com), messaging (Twilio), spreadsheets/CRM (Airtable, Google Sheets), and payments (Stripe). These providers only process data to provide their specific function and are bound by their own data protection terms. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

International transfers

We are based in India. If you are in the EU, UK, or elsewhere, your data may be processed in India and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of EU/UK personal data outside those regions.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and contact data only as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for the duration of our engagement plus a reasonable period for accounting and legal purposes. Client-instructed lead data is kept and deleted according to that client's instructions, or deleted on request.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and India's DPDP Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@westlanestudios.com. If your data is held on behalf of one of our clients (for example, as their customer), please contact that business directly, or us, and we will help route your request.

Cookies

This website currently sets one cookie: a record of whether you chose English or German, so we can show you the right language on your next visit. This is a strictly necessary, functional cookie, it does not track you, is not used for advertising, and does not require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy rules.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site. If we add analytics in future, we will prefer cookieless tools, or show a consent banner first if a cookie-based tool is used.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of our site or services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
